What a day, 23 Dakotas parked at Duxford over the course of the day , Five aircraft had left Duxford at 6:00 am to France but returned at about 12:20 pm. The sound of 21 C-47 aircraft all running at the same time was a sound that will stay in my mind forever. The RAF Mildenhall flypast with 6 – CV-22B’s and 6 – C130’s was a nice surprise .
The food at Duxford was very over priced with one outlet trying to charge me £10 for three teas and a coffee and £7 for a Burger.
The whole day was all I expected to be with the Dragon Rapide’s , Tiger Moth’s & Havard’s on pleasure flight duty movements all day,Displays by a pair of Austers , p-47D, Spitfires and a pair of Mustangs.
I have posted a pictorial record of what I took of aircraft pictures on the very good day at Duxford.
